Bridal Fashion Week: Anne Barge

Paris Couture Week aside, Bridal Fashion Week has to be one of my favourite Fashion Weeks.

It’s a week when some of the biggest names in bridal wear showcase their latest collections. Recently the likes of Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Jenny Packham and Marchesa unveiled their beautiful Spring 2017 collections and boy, were we treated to some swoon-worthy dresses.

The collections were, as to be expected, both romantic, classic, feminine and modern with floral inspiration being the key theme for many of the collections. Along with masses of tulle, organza, silk and lace there were floral embellishments and appliqués galore. And if you aren’t a fan of traditional white or ivory, fear not, because there was an abundance of colours to choose from, everything from smoky greys, icy blues, pastels and even black.

I have far too many favourites to share all at once, so in this post I will be sharing some of my favourites from the Anne Barge Spring 2017 collection.

Anne Barge Wedding Gowns are well known for combining timeless elegance with today’s trends. The company which was founded in 1999 blends contemporary and classic styles using the finest materials and detailing with modern day interpretations of styles once found in vintage couture designs.

The Spring 2017 collection mostly consisted of simple, unfussy mermaid and trumpet silhouettes adorned with sparkling delicate body jewellery. The harness of draped pearls, and ropes of gleaming silver adds a touch of glamour to the clean-lined dresses.

Do you have a favourite collection from Bridal Fashion? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear.
